Time is ticking away - only 10 days to go before I go!
I'm not nervous...really I not...honestly!
Do I sound convincing?
I'm sure the next week and a bit will fly by - I've got so much to do and so many people to see.
In no time at all I'll be starting my new job and enjoying being at home permanetly for the first time in almost 10 years.

Pundits often say that the "interview" and "firing" are the most stressful parts of employment... I agree with you... sometimes waiting for the first day can be just as anxious!
